LEGO Set Reveal – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ Cottage 43242

Released in 1937, the animated Disney film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a true filmmaking classic, marking the first full-length Disney feature and going on to lay the blueprint for succeeding movies. As well as captivating audiences with its magical, fairytale story and animation style, the film also helped to establish Disney as the animation powerhouse we know today.

Today’s reveal of the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ Cottage 43242 building set marks an exciting moment in this year’s LEGO Disney release calendar, with a 35cm wide reproduction of the home where runaway princess Snow White meets the seven dwarfs who help her thwart the machinations of the Evil Queen.

LEGO Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ Cottage 43242 is a thrilling prospect for fans of this all-time Disney animated classic, with detailed rooms inside the building, beautiful woodland cottage exteriors, and several separate extra scenes. These add-on pieces include the wishing well where Snow White pines for her true love and the glass cabinet in the forest where the slain princess receives her true love’s first kiss to restore her to life.

LEGO deserve credit for how many aspects of the animated film they have managed to squeeze into this set, including the full cast of dwarfs, Snow White, Prince Charming, and the Evil Queen in minifigure form.

The side of the cottage roof can be removed for easy access, revealing fun details such as a light-up brick in the hearth, plenty of cutlery and other accessories in the kitchen, and dwarf-sized beds in the bedroom. Collectors will also find other fun hidden elements, such as a spider hiding in the attic, chests full of gems from the mines (heigh-ho, heigh-ho!) and a squirrel perched in a tree. In total, six LEGO Disney animal figures are included to add some character to each scene, however you choose to set the model up.
