Megapolis City 5th Anniversary 80054 celebrates what will be the LEGO Monkie Kid theme’s 5^th anniversary once the set ushers in the new year on 1 January 2024.

The zany city modular build includes a Ferris wheel, working lifts, and numerous stalls and shops, all recognisable from Monkie Kid City in the animated series. Of particular note is the stylish bonsai tree and towering pinnacle, with flowing flag drapery.

The Monkey King (also known as Sun Wukong) is a prominent figure in Chinese mythology, primarily featured in the classic novel Journey to the West. The mischievous and powerful monkey acquires abilities through Taoist training, such as shape-shifting, immortality, and magical powers, which he uses to embark on a quest for enlightenment. The modern-day Monkie Kid LEGO theme and cartoon focuses on the main character and his friends as they battle to save the city of Megalopolis from demons and other threats.
