LEGO Icons Corvette – 10321

LEGO Icons Corvette – 10321

£129.99

The 1961 Corvette cabriolet sports car is one of the most eye-catching examples of the American Dream in sports car form, hailing from the USA post-war boom when every teen wanted to look like Elvis Presley or Audrey Hepburn in a bright red roadster.

One of the last “solid-axle” generations of cars, the 1961 Corvette featured distinctive twin taillights and a detachable bonnet for the car to be used in an open-top or a closed-convertible configuration. All these features are replicated on the LEGO collectable-scale version of the iconic vehicle.

Removing the hard-top roof reveals detailed car interiors, including a brake, clutch, accelerator pedals, gear stick, radio rear-view mirror and more. The car also features a detailed engine with a spinning radiator fan and working tie-rod steering.

With its sleek, vintage-styled exterior and vivid colour, this is certain to be a prized collectable for fans of classic cars to display at home – it would also make a fantastic gift for car enthusiasts new to LEGO creations.

LEGO Modern Art – 31210

£44.99

This latest release from the LEGO Art theme offers something entirely different. It allows builders to design their own example of modern abstract art using a colourful array of oddly shaped LEGO elements, including rectangles, triangles, and circles.

As per the above image, there are limitless ways to arrange the bricks to form different artistic journeys. This high-brow immersive art collectable mimics the style of famous abstract paintings such as Wassily Kandinsky’s Composition VII or Piet Mondrian’s Composition With Red, Blue and Yellow, and it is good to see collectors given the opportunity to create something unique and thought-provoking to hang at home.
