BUILD LEGO BOTANICALS FOR FREE

Advert for LEGO Inner Piece

LEGO has been creating some outstanding Botanical sets. Most recently, we had the exciting release of LEGO 10340 Wreath and LEGO 10370 Poinsettia, both of which are going to look beautiful over the holiday season. The appeal of the LEGO Botanical theme seems to be growing as more people are enjoying the pleasure of plastic plants.

Due to the success of last year's collaboration, The LEGO Group and It’s Nice Like That have combined forces again to create Inner Piece.

As with 2023’s “The LEGO Piece Garden” installation, Inner Piece is a limited-time pop-up communal space where one can get firsthand experience building fantastic floral creations. You'll also be able to view various LEGO collections to a background of artwork by the Spanish illustrator Maria Medem.

Inner Piece will be offering two workshops for visitors to participate in:

  • Mediative Flower Making
  • Happy Prints

The Mediative Flower-making workshop will be an excellent opportunity for visitors to use the LEGO Botanicals range to build their own fantastic floral creations. There will also be experienced LEGO guides on hand to offer hints and tips.

Once the flower builds are completed, they will be added to “The Happy Place Dreamscape” which is the centrepiece of the event. This is a creation by Maria Medem and is designed to illustrate joy and peacefulness. There will be a communal flower bed in front of the artist’s work, and this is where visitor’s creations will be planted.

The second workshop is focussed on prints, as the name Happy Prints suggests. This was designed by a Brighton-based illustrator and printer, Laurie Avon.

Workshop visitors will be given a blank worksheet, instructions and a prompt card to help them create a happy place print. An instructor and their assistants will guide attendees step by step through the entire print process. Once the design has been created, then, visitors will be able to print their design a couple of times, one to hang up to inspire future visitors and one to take home.
