Half Term Happenings – Smyths Hand Out Free Giveaway Bags in Store
THE BIG LEGO TOY EVENT TOOK PLACE AT SMYTHS TOY SHOPS OVER THE HALF-TERM WEEKEND
What did you get up to this half term? For anyone with a KFOL, Smyths Toy Store was the place to be on Saturday, 21st October, with thousands of mini LEGO gift bags handed out in store.
One of our team member's kids (pictured above) somehow managed to get their hands on two: a Ninjago playset and a Harry Potter Quidditch field! Other freebies included polybags from the LEGO City, DREAMZzz and Friends themes. Rumours of AFOLs pretending to be kids to get their hands on some freebies are grossly overexaggerated…
There were plenty of building demonstrations in store, as well as the chance for kids to build their own ‘Dream City’ using the bricks and pieces provided.
iDisplayit Director Steve Chan regularly employs his daughter to build the latest LEGO set purchases (between completing school homework, of course), and the half-term school holiday was no different – see her tackling the Disney Princess Mini Disney Palace of Agrabah 40613 below!
The set was built in record time, so there’s no excuse for taking the time to tackle some of your own sets this month…
